Owned G35: 5 weeks Caps stolen off of wheels: twiceNow I'm just getting plain aggravated. It's not even a matter of buying locking wheel caps, but catching the bas*ards who keep taking them from me, or at least teaching them a small lesson. It has happened at the same place both times, and I'm only away from the car for two hours - now I just want to know. Here is my idea: Run a hot (electrically hot) wire from the cabin to one of the wheels, and solder it to the inside of the cap - put on cap. This cap would be off at all times except while the car is parked (so that the wires don't tangle). Anyway, when I set the alarm on the car, the power will be activated, and when the little ruffians go to take the cap *zap* - they'll be shocked like a dog who went outside the fence line. I want enough power to send them on their back - maybe even knock them out for a few - how wrong is that? Then I want to give them a note that says, "buy your own caps, fuc*ers*, and leave it with them. Obviously I'd only have to route one cap, as they take all 4 each time anyway. This is not a principle of money, but ethics - an early lesson for some young thief. Hey - at least I wasn't blocking the entrace to the emergency room... ;) SS
